This is a season of customs and rituals that bring joy and happiness. Tradition gives form and expression to special celebrations. Certain rituals and customs give us ways of relating to each other and create the memories we cherish. Such memories are gifts we give our children.
Tradition is more than just a certain way of doing something. The small rituals and customs that are repeated from year to year give us something to anticipate. Traditions form mileposts for our memories and enrich our time of sharing and loving, true gifts of the season - true gifts that we hope will translate throughout your lives all year long.

"When my niece was born, I purchased a Baby's First Christmas ornament for her. Each year after that, I purchased another ornament and by the time she was grown and ready to decorate her first home, she had a tree full of memories to start with!"
"After our children were grown and married, we had a hard time trying to figure out how to work it out so that all the families involved had time to spend together on Christmas Day. We began having "Christmas Breakfast" at our house. As the grandchildren graced our family, this became the time to visit with Nana & Poppa and exchange gifts after Santa's visit, but before moving on to visit their other grandparents. It has become a treasured tradition for us."
"As each of my kids got old enough to give up their pacifier, they would leave it along with the cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve. Santa would then be able to give their "binky" to another child who didn't have one. This proved an effective way to break the habit and leave the young one feeling good about their decision."
